Wood is strong, lightweight (about 500 grams,) flexible and looks great…all of the
qualities you want in a bike. And wood is the original
"organic" carbon fiber!
Fenders are tough.
These fenders are laminated then coated with multiple layers of marine
varnish. All the metal parts are either stainless steel or aluminum.
Even though they are just a thin whisper of wood, they are sturdy enough
to be used as a platform for lights or other accessories.

In the interest of weight, many bikes are
made without screw holes to attach fenders or other accessories. Sykes
Wooden Eyelets (available separately- $15/pair) strap to your forks or
frame with plastic zip-ties.
A sticky rubber concave edge grips the tubing. The
larger, aluminum lined hole accepts a 5mm machine screw. Please
contact us if you need the wooden eyelets for attaching your
struts are included, and black flair-style plastic
tail flaps (mud flaps) are integral to the design of the fenders.
