Our latest Wheel Build of the Week is showcases our newest rim offering: Ibis's S35 carbon rim.

Developed in conjunction with Stan's NoTubes, the rims uses that company's patented Bead Socket Technology (BST), which means that these rims provide a tubeless setup that's second to none.   Beyond easy and secure tubeless setup, they are lightweight, have off-center spoke holes, and are definitely on the wide side with a 35mm internal width (though they are also available in a 28mm inner width as well).  The 18mm rim depth gives them a great ride quality than emphasizes vertical compliance so that your wheels track the line you want as smoothly as possible.

Laced to Chris King's superb ISO Boost hubs, these make for a awesome all around/cross country wheelset that will support wider tires well.  This particular wheelset is destined to go on an Ibis Ripley, and they suit that bike's versatile trail/cross country nature perfectly.

SPECS:

  • Front hub: Chris King ISO-AB 110x15mm
  • Rear hub: Chris King ISO-B 148x12mm
  • Spokes: Sapim Race
  • Rims: Ibis S35 Carbon
