With 26 years of experience, a background in mechanical engineering, and a lifelong passion for cycling, this frame builder has honed a craft that blends precision, creativity, and rider-centric design. We sat down to learn more about their process, inspirations, and philosophy behind every custom build.

How long have you been building frames, and what inspired you to start?

I’ve been building frames for 26 years. As a lifelong cyclist, a mechanical engineer, and a machinist, it felt like a natural fit for my skills and interests.

Can you briefly describe your frame-building process?

Every frame is custom-built based on the rider’s measurements. Each tube is hand-selected to meet the specific needs and preferences of the rider. No two frames are alike—each one is guided by a combination of rider input and solid engineering principles. Depending on the design, frames are either lugged or fillet brazed.

What materials do you primarily use for your frames?

I primarily work with steel and stainless steel.

Are there any unique or signature techniques you incorporate into your frames?

Like any quality custom frame, it's all about attention to detail and understanding what the rider wants. It’s not about the builder—it’s about the rider.

Are there any notable or memorable builds you’ve worked on that stand out?

I’ve never made the same frame twice. Each one presents its own challenges and unique qualities, which is part of what makes this work so rewarding.

What are some of the challenges you face as a frame builder?

Honestly, just finding the time to do everything that needs to be done.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your work?

Knowing that I’ve met the rider’s needs and helped bring their vision to life in a bike that truly fits them.

Is there a specific frame design or model you’re especially proud of?

I love a challenge. The more unique the request, the better.

What are your goals or aspirations for the future of your brand?

To keep building frames that riders want and to continue adapting to the ever-evolving world of bicycles.

Are there any new technologies or trends in frame building that excite you?

Absolutely. The evolution of bike technology is fascinating—it keeps things interesting and pushes me to keep learning and refining my craft.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your brand or journey as a frame builder?

Constant change is a good thing. Take a look at what I’ve built so far, and let’s see how that experience can help shape your next dream bike.
